Malta is a perfect place for an out-of-season trekking holiday. With warm weather during Spring and Autumn, when the island’s countryside is in full bloom, there is no better way to see the hidden gems of the Maltese islands than on foot. This trip will take you on a walking tour of the best land and seascapes of Malta and Gozo.
Discover Valletta. the hub of the Knights, while learning interesting facts about the city - but all in a different manner - through our Valletta walking treasure hunt. Guests will be given a briefing prior to entering the city. We will supply them with a riddle book, a map with all the necessary information and stationery. The guests will have to solve riddles to get to locations and answer a number of questions. The group should be split into teams of approximately 10 per team. Optional: Each team will be supplied with a camera and they will be required to take a number of photos throughout the hunt. These photos will carry a number of points too and may require teams to do funny poses or take pictures as proof of arrival to certain locations.
This is a great activity will take you through some of the most dramatic scenery of Malta whilst giving you a breath of fresh air and exercise that energises and gives a well deserved boost! Once wearing helmets and jumping aboard your bikes, you will be given a tour of the best sightseeing spots and kept in line by our professional cyclists.
Participants will be divided into five persons per group under the leadership of a guide within each jeep. Each team will be given a set of clues. Upon answering the questions a new clue will be given to continue the game. Meanwhile, the participants can also enjoy the Maltese landscape, while learning the about the rich history of Malta.
As soon as we set foot in the pretty Gozitan port of Mgarr we will notice that although both islands are similar in history and development, Gozo has a character entirely of its own. In this excursion we visit all the popular landmarks of Gozo such as the Citadel in Victoria, the famous Azur Window in Dwejra and the rocky cliffs in Xlendi Bay. Also included is a delicious three course lunch together with a spectacular cultural experience with a visit to Ggantijja Temples (except on Monday) which are known to be the oldest freestanding temples in the world. Since Gozo is well known for its woollen goods and handmade lace, honey and cheese we will also visit the market where we will have free time for shopping and to sample all these at first hand.
